After 12 years......

Native American Heritage

Santa Fe Sunset

I finally had my two completed crewel embroidery projects framed and picked them up today. I am just so excited to see them looking amazing with the matting and framing job that Michael's did. I have a humming bird one that is almost done and plenty others that I need to start. Anyways, I just wanted to show you guys how great they turned out.

Thanksgiving 2008

Here are few pictures of our Thanksgiving. I was sick that day, but still managed to pull out a killer turkey with all the sides and fixings. Stephanie and her family, a couple of their friends came over to celebrate the day with us. Rebeca also came by and helped me out with a few things. We smoked one turkey and I cooked the other in the oven. I made homemade mashed potatoes (or as we call them heart attack potatoes), green bean casserole, stuffing, and mom's English pea salad.

I hope everyone had a good holiday and enjoyed some shopping the day after (I know I did!). I'm back to work this next week after having a couple days off. I can't believe that December is already here and another Christmas and New Years are right around the corner. I miss everyone around the holidays and having to drive to each others houses for potluck dinners and presents.

Connor wants to say hi

I love Grandma and I love Grandpa and I love my favorite cousins. I like my picture Auntie Shelly drew with me and put on the refrigerator. I go to Hinman kindergarten and my teacher is Ms. Bull. I like to play math and go to lunch and I like to play at computers. And I like bears. My favorite games to play are Go!Diego Go! on the computer, Simpson's on the X-Box, and Mario Bros. on the D.S. I like to play at the water park, and on the slides and swings with mommy and daddy. I like to go for walks with papa and play cards and puzzles with bam maw. I miss seeing everyone and want to go for a visit next summer to play in the water and see grandma and grandpa.

Love,
Connor Robbins

Got some sun this weekend

Saturday:
I didn't take pictures yet, but I spent most of the weekend outside and got some sun and sore muscles. I decided to weed the walkway and yard so that we can put some new seeds/manure down to fix some bare spots. Greg's dad and I spent about an hour pulling weeds and filled a bucket up. Then Greg and his dad cleaned out the dog run and took down the old dog house that Zoe doesn't use. After all that we spent time playing in the wading pool with Connor.

Sunday:
Greg, Kiley, Megan and myself decided to get a little target practice in and took turns shooting clays. It started getting hot so we headed back home.

Monday:
I woke up on Monday with sore arms, back, thighs, quads, back, fingers, toes, legs, head, eyes, sunburn neck, sunburn back.....ouch. After working 12 hours, I took a hot shower and some meds and need to sleep off the soreness.

That shows me that I need to a) get more work in on a regular basis so I don't hurt when doing chores, or b) get a honey do list that is longer and sit and sidewalk supervise (I learned that from mom).

Ok, well its time for me to get some sleep. I need to work again in the morning.

Connor's 1st day of Kindergarten

Connor posed for me to take a picture of him all dressed up and ready for his first day. I had to go to work and daddy was taking him.

Here is another cute picture with his Go! Diego Go! backpack (and this is not the "rescue" backpack he wants, I still need to find this elusive item).

Greg sent me these pictures from his phone when he was dropping him off at school.

Connor's 5th Birthday party (6/24/08)

Today Connor is 5 and loves to play Nintendo DS, Wii and daddy's X-box 360. His favorite games are Mario-Kart, Simpsons, Super Mario Bros., and Wii sports/bar games. He loves Go! Diego Go!, the animal rescuer. Connor has a "rescue" backpack (which is his nintendo backpack that he pretends is his rescue backpack, who he keeps bugging mommy everytime we go to the store how he needs a "real" rescue backpack that has a shoulder strap and is a triangle shape). Connor had a really great birthday and spent it with his friend William and his cousins. We had cake, ice cream and played with the slip and slide in the backyard. He loved all the cards you guys sent him and had fun at Toys R Us. Here are some of the pictures from his birthday.

Action! smile on cue for the camera Connor!

Now its Williams turn.

Here comes Dominick!

Gabby's not too old for this afterall.

Even Matthew had fun. What a cutie!

Time for presents. He is very excited.

Yeah! Just what I wanted, Mario-Kart racing game for the Wii.

Wow!!! This is a great present, can't you tell by my BIG smile!

The gang for a group photo.
